Breaking the Cycle: Understanding and Preventing Bullying
Bullying is one of the most widespread and damaging issues in schools and online, affecting countless students in different ways. It isn’t just about physical aggression—bullying can also be verbal (name-calling, threats), social (exclusion, spreading rumors), or digital (cyberbullying on social media or through messages). No matter the form, bullying can have serious and lasting effects on mental health, academic success, and personal relationships.
Understanding the root causes of bullying is essential to stopping it. Factors like self-esteem, aggression, family dynamics, and school culture all play a role in why bullying happens and how it continues. This course will help elemntary school students learn about prevention strategies and intervention techniques.
Students will gain the tools to stand up against bullying—whether as a target, a bystander, or someone ready to make a change. Creating a culture of empathy, inclusion, and respect takes collective effort. This course will help students, educators, and families work together to build a safer, more supportive school environment where everyone feels valued and heard.
